Tips for Healthy eating

Eat breakfast
Most of us avoid the most important meal of the day. This only
sets us up to struggle with fatigue and mood swings over the
course of the day, interferes with focus and concentration and
cause us to over-eat on junk food later in the day.
Eat smaller, more frequent meals
Our bodies were meant to eat every three to four hours. Try
eating 6 small meals as opposed to three large ones. An apple with
nuts or seeds, for instance, is a perfect mid-morning or
mid-afternoon meal.
Slow the meal down
Eating quickly will cause us to over-eat, leading to constipation,
bloating, gas and other digestive issues not to mention excess
weight gain.
All fats are not bad
Fish, nuts and seeds provide the important omega-3 fatty acids
that many of us are lacking. They are important in that they fuel
the brain, enhance focus and concentration and provide longer,
lasting energy throughout the day.
Fruits and Vegetables
Eat at least 6-7 servings of raw fruits and vegetables everyday.
They provide fiber that helps to clean us out as well as enzymes
that assist with proper digestion and absorption of nutrients.
The less the sugar the better
Choose foods that have 25 g or less. Yogurt, for instance, comes
in varying amount of sugar, some as high as 45g. Again, the less
the better.
Water
The fact that the human body is approximately 75% water should say
it all. Drink at least eight to ten 8 oz. glasses of water per
day. If you’re active, try for at least twelve to fourteen.
Keep a log
