Foods to limit

  • Diary products such as cheese and whole milk. Dairy produces mucus which can clog the gastro-intestinal tract.

  • Wheat products; wheat contains gluten which is very hard to digest and can suppress the immune system.

  • Alcohol.

Foods to avoid

The following are a list of foods that should be avoided. Other than offering no real nutritional value, they are the foods that have been linked to many of the ailments that inflict us today such as diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity.

  • Bagels, cereals filled with sugar, French toast, pancakes, waffles, and rolls.

  • Pastries like doughnuts, cookies, danishes and muffins.

  • Candies, chocolate, ice cream.

  • White bread, white flour, white rice; the “whites” are processed, refined foods that have no real nutritional value. During processing, the nutrients are basically removed.

  • Foods made with High Fructose Corn Syrup and maltodextrin. These are simple sugars.

  • Saturated fats like bacon, fatty cuts of beef, luncheon meats, pepperoni and sausage.

  • Fried foods.
